Surface transport in Bucharest — buses, trolleybuses, trams — is run by Societatea de Transport București (STB). The metro is run separately by Metrorex and requires a different ticket.

STB uses contactless Multiplu cards (rechargeable) and also accepts tap-to-pay with a bank card on most vehicles. The metro has its own set of ticket types (single ride, 10-ride, monthly).
